The pasta scarf is my favorite scarf that I've ever made. It's a ruffle cowl made with "Pasta" yarn, which is sadly discontinued. I ran across the yarn at the Scrap Exchange in Durham, NC and had to have it (it's pink and called pasta! What's not to like?).
Having no idea what to make, I cast a bunch of stitches onto a circular needle and started knitting. I picked up some stiches and slipped them across, and knit stitches together on either side of the slipped stitches to create the ruffle edging. Once the ruffle was complete, I knit every row until the top edge, where I alternated knit and purl rows to prevent curling.
The completed scarf hangs really nicely due to the lightweight texture of the yarn. I've been wearing it with everything because it's so cute!
