I bought six skeins of this pretty, bumpy, cotton yarn last fall at The Scrap Exchange in Durham NC (check it out if you're in the area! A cool place to view, create, or buy art!).
But then I had no idea what to do with the yarn because it was pretty and I was limited to the skeins I had purchased. So I let it sit in my yarn bag for a few months.
I thought about making an apron, but the yarn was way too heavy, so I decided to crochet and make up my mind when I was done. I needed a kitchen rug, so this project turned out to be a surprise new rug!
Because I had plenty of flowers hanging around my completed projects bag, I added six little yellow and white flowers to one corner to brighten up the finished rug. My feet are now comfy at the counter and it looks like a little garden is growing on the floor!
