This bracelet was a Valentine's gift, made with two shades of thin yarn. I was going for the look of a large bracelet but without the bulk, since this bracelet is for a teenager.
I began with the interior color (in this case, pink). I chained a row that was just long enough to circle my wrist, then did two rows of double crochet.
Switching to the border color (white), I did a row of single crochet on the outside of bracelet. At the far end (not the end with the yarn tail), I chained 5 and continued to crochet on the other border side. This created an attached loop for the button.
When I reached the end with the yarn tail, I cut the border yarn and worked the yarn tails into the holes of the button and tied off in the back.
